This weekend was the kind of weekend a working mom dreams of. There was nothing on the calendar, well, my niece Katie made confession of faith at her church. I would have like to have gone there, but we've been so busy and Jim had a bunch of homework. So we stayed home. Saturday, the boys and I made a trip to Wal Mart and today everybody went to church. But other than that we hung out at home. It was great!
It is wonderful that Jim has been posting, but he didn't mention a major happening. On March 19th Joey had his tonsils removed and his third set of tubes put in. It was not a fun day, but other than Joe throwing up a couple times, everything went well. There have been a couple rough spots, but it's amazing how quickly kids bounce back. His voice seems to have changed to me, but it may still be sore. The doctor put in T tubes in his ears this time which will stay in for a couple years rather than the year or less the others stayed in. Joe ate a lot of ice pops last week, which he enjoyed.
Also, Jon is a very smart boy and is doing great at school. But as a teacher of second and third graders, I can say he's not quite reading at a second grade level as Jim said. Jim was referring to the scores on a computerized program they do weekly called Successmaker. Jon has discovered if you don't know the answer, you just hit the question mark and the computer will tell you the answer. So he is a smart kiddo even if he's reading at a 1st grade level instead of 2nd.
